A Story About Jaya Teas Published In Bucks County Courier

Jaya Teas Covered in The Food Section of Bucks County Courier

Recently we have been receiving a lot of attention in the press. I guess one could say that our business is begining to be noticed as a result of our outstading product and customer service. So far, two stories have been published in the local Princteon Packet - for which we are eternally grateful. Since then, a story about our business was published in Bucks County Courier and other sister newspapers in Pennsylvania.

We are very grateful to the folks at Bucks County Courier for devoting an entire page and half of the food section to our business! We cannot thank them enough for such a lovely coverage.

If you wish to receive a copy of the publication, please write to us and we can send you a photocopy. Our address is:

Vietnam Becomes Seventh Largest Tea Exporter

Ofcourse, Indias role in tea will remain supreme for a while, but Vietnam is making significant inroads into the tea business. With its lush green hills being increasingly converted to growing tea, Vietnam is slowly becoming a “player” in the tea business.

The country exported around 45,000 tonnes of tea in the first seven months of this year, a year-on-year rise of over 30%. Black tea made up around 58% of the total’s tea export. Vietnam plans to ship more than 100,000 tonnes of tea and earn around US $110 million this year.

For a growing economy like Vietnam, this could be a very good sign. Unfortunately, for a tea drinker it may mean something bad. Just think who the major tea importers is…India of course.

Pakistan, Taiwan, India and Russia are its major tea importers.

It is no secret that much of the inferior tea imported from low price countries like Vietnam, Ceylon often is used to blend with the more expensive Indian tea, leading to the end consumer getting poor quality tea. Indian Government is taking steps against this, but in the mean time, the best thing for you the consumer to do, is to purchase tea from a trusted source. A source that can guarantee that the teas are purchased with utmost care. Our teas, for instance, are all hand selected and packed by our family members, and we stand behind our teas 100% - with a no questions asked money back guarantee.

Delicious Cardamom Cookies - By Tanvi

Tanvi, of “From The Pantry” blog has written a great recipe of Cardamom Almond cookies. It does contain egg, so if you are allergic to eggs or are a strict vegetarian, this recipe will need some modification.

If you do modify, please let me know. I am interested in making eggless cardamom almond cookies!
