Evaluating teas is an art, and not every one can do it. In order to evaluate teas, one needs to develop a sense of adventure and excitement about teas. However, almost any one can become a taster because we are interested in every ones opinion. If you are specifically interested in tasting teas and submitting your evaluations, we would be happy to send you some teas.
In return we simply ask that you submit a report of the teas to us by emailing it to us, or publish them on your weblog or some such site.
Periodically, when we receive a new lot of teas, we invite a select few members of our loyal customers to taste the teas and provide us their feedback. We do this primarily because we are interested in finding out if you like the teas we selected for you, what you liked about them, and what you did not like about them. Obviously, we cannot invite our entire customer base. So, we select only a few members of the customer base who are interested in doing the testing, and are caring enough to want to provide feed back. The benefit to you is, that you get to taste our teas, free of charge, before any one else does. And, you get to ensure that your views influence our decision making so that others will benefit from your report.
Before you get scared about the kind of reporting involved, know that we are not asking any personal or technical questions. Its a simple report that requires you to evaluate the teas, just as any other consumer would. We simply ask that as a matter of courtsey, you file the report within a few days of receiving the teas. One thing you need to know is that if we find your report instructional to our other buyers, we reserve the right to use your report in our promotion of teas. However, to protect the process and your privacy, we will only use your last name (eg. Mrs Linda Smith will be recognized as only Mrs. Smith), unless you expressly give us permission to use your name.
